Job Details

• Location: Athens, AL

• Shift: 1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM)

• Pay Rate: $16.00 / hour

• Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm

Job Summary

As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of office areas, restrooms, breakrooms, and general facility grounds. This role requires steady physical activity and strong attention to detail to ensure safety and hygiene standards are consistently met.


Key Responsibilities

• Surface & Floor Care: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors in hallways, offices, and common areas.

• Sanitation: Thoroughly clean and disinfect restrooms, breakrooms, sinks, and frequently touched surfaces (doorknobs, handrails, light switches).

• Waste Management: Empty trash cans, replace liners, and transport waste and recyclables to designated disposal areas.

• Restock Supplies: Keep soap dispensers, paper towel holders, and toilet tissue stocked across all facilities.

• Facility Maintenance: Report repairs, safety hazards, or maintenance issues to management promptly.

• Safety & Compliance: Store cleaning chemicals and operate equipment safely according to OSHA and facility safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.

• Ability to work early morning hours (5:00 AM start time) reliably.

• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 40 lbs ), and perform repetitive tasks throughout an 8-hour shift.

• Strong work ethic, punctual attendance, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
